VIBE

Vibe is a 150 sqm apartment interior design project created for an international family with two children. Different traditions, cultures and languages come together in this home, united by a shared love of travel — an interest that became an important part of the interior concept.

The project began with a complete transformation of the apartment layout. The original plan included a narrow separate kitchen, three separate rooms, one pass-through room and a significant amount of unused corridor space. The new layout was designed around the way the family actually lives, creating more open and connected spaces while improving functionality throughout the home.

Part of the apartment was transformed into an open-plan kitchen and dining area, connected to a comfortable TV zone with a bio-fireplace. This became the social heart of the home — a warm space for everyday family life, meals and time together.

The remaining rooms form the private sleeping area. In the master bedroom, separate dressing rooms were created for both owners, allowing the bedroom itself to remain calm, uncluttered and visually light.

Part of the loggia was transformed into a home office, creating a dedicated workspace for the owner without taking space away from the main living areas.

In the daughter’s room, the apartment’s irregular geometry was carefully integrated into the design. Built-in cabinets conceal the awkward angles while also becoming decorative architectural elements of the room. The son’s room was intentionally left unchanged, as the existing layout already met his needs.

The colour palette is based on neutral tones, complemented by carefully placed accents of colour. This creates a balanced and light-filled interior while allowing individual objects, materials and details to add character.

The result is an eclectic family interior that combines modern comfort with personal character. Light, warm and elegant, the apartment reflects the family’s lifestyle, interests and international background while providing functional spaces for everyday living.

Every part of the layout and interior design was developed around the people who live here — creating a home that feels personal, welcoming and genuinely lived in.
