PANCAKES WITH BLUEBERRIES #1

We designed two children’s rooms for girls of different ages, united by one shared concept: “Pancakes with Blueberries.” The older sister chose the idea, and despite a six-year age difference, the younger sister wanted the same theme for her room.

The challenge was to create two individual children’s bedrooms that felt connected while reflecting each girl’s age, personality and needs.

The interior design began with a cohesive colour palette of deep purple and soft mist tones. In the older sister’s room, mustard was introduced as an accent colour, while the younger sister’s room combines mustard with sky blue and pink. Wood, soft textiles, matte surfaces and rounded shapes complement the palette, creating warm, comfortable and playful spaces.

The project also included architectural improvements. The original rooms had low ceilings and awkward proportions. Raising the ceiling by just 10 cm significantly improved the perception of height, making the rooms feel more spacious and comfortable.

In the older sister’s room, wall-mounted wardrobes were designed to provide practical storage while also becoming an integral part of the interior composition.
