UP TO THE SKY

Up to the sky is a 76 sqm nail studio interior design project, located in a 2000s building with several architectural challenges. The main goal was to make the most of the available space while creating a comfortable, airy and welcoming environment for both clients and the nail technicians.

The owner wanted an interior that felt light and enveloping, with functional workstations, efficient storage and a warm atmosphere that would make clients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

The layout includes five manicure stations, a separate pedicure area with two comfortable chairs, a dedicated makeup corner and a welcoming waiting area. Each zone was carefully planned to provide comfortable circulation and efficient everyday use.

The design concept was inspired by the morning sky — soft clouds illuminated by early sunlight, delicate colours and playful organic shapes. This idea became the visual language of the entire nail studio.

The colour palette combines sky blue, creamy white and bold pink, creating a fresh yet gentle atmosphere. Cloud-inspired details frame the window openings and continue into the pedicure area, helping to visually enlarge the space while adding a playful character to the interior.

Functionality and space planning were central to the project. A large custom storage unit discreetly conceals the irregular geometry of the room while providing the storage required for the studio. In the pedicure area, almost invisible cabinets hide technical equipment and keep the space visually clean.

The staff kitchen was designed as a compact, fully equipped island — a practical and comfortable place for the team to take a break during a busy working day.

Even the bathroom was integrated into the overall design concept. Pink grout lines, blue walls and a cloud-shaped mirror continue the colour palette and playful visual language of the studio.

Every element was designed with both functionality and experience in mind — from the layout of the workstations and integrated storage to the materials, colours and smallest decorative details.

The result is a functional nail studio with a distinctive identity: an airy, comfortable and welcoming interior designed to support the everyday work of the team while creating a memorable experience for clients.
